Here, sailing ships would begin the trip back to Spain , escorted by enough firepower to repel most, but not all, pirate attacks as they attempted to sail on past the West Indies . We'll take an intimate look at the outstanding features of this important historical site as well as the Church of the Black Christ.

At our arrival at the Mamey Island we will be at short swim from shore to the surrounding fringe reef. The reef contains many coral formations. As we explore the many caverns and passages within the reef, we will have a high chance to observe the Snapper, Parrotfish, Jacks, Trunkfish, and Blue Tang.

Jungle Tour
After Breakfast, we will reach the trailhead in a 10 minute dugout canoe transfer. We embark here on a challenging trek through dense jungle growth, along a narrow trail with many steep inclines and treacherous descents. One by one, we will be facing the first of the falls of Iguana Creek. After rappelling the slippery 15 meters rock face, disengage and swim through the cool falls pool. After this challenge, we continue on downriver via, a 40-meter scramble along the winding riverbed. Continue trekking through unpredictable jungle terrain until reaching the final fall. Finally we will return to the Chagres River after a 3 meter roped descent. By Canoe, we will go to the Embera community to change clothes, warm up and have lunch.

We will visit Casco Viejo through the stretched streets, plazas and public parks, where still conserve part of our history, as France Plaza, Las Bovedas, San Jose Church , with it's wonderful altar (all made of gold),the Flat Arc, and Cathedral Church, as others.
